What is Learn Together Ministries? Who am I?
Learn Together Ministries has two goals.
First, to share the love of Jesus through lectionary-based devotions. (3-Year, Series A, to be exact.)
Second, to provide corresponding devotions for adults and kids, so that they can meditate, pray, and discuss on the same basic lesson.
(This does not mean the devotions are just for adults and kids - they can certainly be read independently!)
Each devotion will include a suggested Bible reading, a short meditation on the reading, a challenge, and a prayer.
Hi! My name is Mary Rowley.
Some basic facts about me:
I grew up in Iowa. Go, Drake Bulldogs!
My family still lives there, including my beloved niece and nephew, but I bucked the trend and moved out of state: first to college at Concordia University Wisconsin, then to be a campus missionary at Florida State University, then to be the Director of Christian Education at a church in Oklahoma. Now I’m back in Wisconsin and planning to stay.
I currently serve at Concordia Lutheran School in Sturtevant, where I primarily work with students with special needs in the middle school.
While I lived in Oklahoma, I fostered and later adopted my daughter, Tammy. She is 20 years old and attending college near my school.
I have a dog, Angel.
I love to play board games, tell terrible jokes, binge watch crime dramas, and read a great variety of books.
I strongly dislike washing dishes and making phone calls.
As a child, I dreamed of writing the next great American novel. As an adult, I dream of using my words to share the love of Jesus and help others find their place in God’s story.
